The face of Furguson.

I am not a big booster of the police. I think we have too many cops, that are too well armed, who enforce to many unpopular laws, while protecting  evil people in high places and who circle the wagons when they screw up. I also know that they are absolutely necessary. I also believe they are mostly good people, trying to make the world a better place. Alas, they MUST be totally insane.

Looters running a muck in a predominantly black community, smashing windows, burning cars and destroying property would make some people believe that race relations were at an all time low in these somewhat United States. It is more of an uprising than a race riot.

In other cities around the country the looters are somewhat more diversified, judging from the news reports I have seen. However, the demographics prove it is a black phenomenon. In LA and Oakland, CA, New York and London it is more of an occupy moment, with outsiders and criminals leading the young and the stupid to foul their own nests, than a race riot.

The events of the last several weeks are also a criminal enterprise, a mere diversion, if you will to allow theft and arson on a large scale.

The people who would have to pay for the cleanup, the retired and working class folks, who are trying to carry on with their lives, will leave and with them any chance of recovery for the area. It will become just another burnt spot on the highway.

Most people know better than poking Smoky Bear, as that is as a good way to get your arm chewed off or in the case of poor Mr. Brown,  getting your butt shot off. Fighting with the police is no way to obtain social justice.

This is a problem that comes with government assistance and in the case of El Comandante and the other leftists, government insistence. Unfortunately, many people equate social justice with a larger government assistance check.

Sure, Furguson is also about a lack of good paying jobs, the haves verses the have nots, the evil bankers, the idle wealthy and the siege mentality of the ruling class. It has always been that way; only before now there wasn't a vast, bankrupting social safety net. The moochers in society didn't have time to work mayhem in the streets as they do now. Our government is subsidizing the mayhem, enabling the protesters and taxing the law abiding to pay for it.

People were too busy trying to survive because back then if you didn't work, you didn't eat.

Working people for the most part (except the paid community organizers) are too busy for such nonsense.

Looters should be shot or at the very least, prosecuted and their so called government assistance, ended forever.
